Oh, Sadie. You are going to give us such a run for our money! You are this close to crawling. In fact, you’ve got the combat crawl down like a pro–you’ve perfected it over the last few days. You’re learning something new just about every minute, and you’re getting bigger by the second. Tonight you discovered that, if you bang your spoon on the booster seat tray, it makes a noise you seem to like. You grab at EVERYTHING. We have to watch where we walk when we’re holding you, lest you grab hold of something scary like a knife. The animals are on to you, though, and they’re learning how to stay just out of your reach. But you still manage to get a fistful of fur at least a few times a day. You’re really close to sitting on your own, but you seem to always want to go after something, you don’t have much patience to practice.
You started solids this month. Rice cereal, which looks pretty nasty, but you seem to love it. You took to it right away, and now you get excited when you see me sit down with the box and a bowl. I wanted to wait on all solids until you were six months old, but you seemed so ready and so focused on the food the rest of us are eating. But I think we’ll wait before we introduce anything else.
Here are a few pictures I took of you today. We went out in the front yard, and you weren’t too crazy about trying to crawl in the grass. I think you’ll like it more when you’re really crawling. And there are also some pictures from the past month that I hadn’t already posted. I’ve got some video I want to post, but I’ll get to that another time.
